Under the SME Infocomm Package (SIP) initiative, you can seek useful advice on how to introduce infocomm technology into your business, purchase affordable infocomm solutions packaged according to your business needs, and enjoy one-stop support from the companies who are part of this IDA-led venture. Your purchase will be subsidised if this is the first time you are developing a web presence for your business.
The subsidy is available to 5,000 SMEs on a first-come-first-served basis.
What are the products and services available in a packaged infocomm solution?
Depending on your needs as an SME, a package can include any of the following:
Entry-level items:
Computer, printer, broadband connectivity, domain name registration, email accounts and hosting, computer security products, website or web pages development, maintenance, and more;
* Generic applications:
Office tools, accounting software, customer relationship management software, human resource management software, and more;
* Sector-specific applications:
Electronic point-of-sale system for the retail sector, reminder service for financial advisors, online reservation system for the food and beverage sector, mobile learning-on-demand for the education sector, and more;
Non-infocomm services useful to your business:
BizFILE-related processing, application of licences and trademarks, accounting, auditing, application of taxes, corporate secretarial services and GST reporting, and more.

How does my business qualify for a subsidy?
Your business qualifies for the subsidy if you meet all the criteria below:
- You are a local SME with
- at least 30% local shareholding;
- less than S$15 million fixed assets, and;
- less than 200 employees (applicable to non-manufacturing sector only).
- You do not already own a website
- Your purchase includes the development of a website or web pages for your business
- You have not claimed under this initiative before
How do I apply for the subsidy?
If your business qualifies for the subsidy, the companies will offer you the infocomm package at a subsidised rate.
What does the subsidy cover?
The subsidy covers any of the items below, capped at S$1,000 per SME:
- 50% of monthly broadband subscription charges for 12 months
- 50% of monthly hosting and maintenance of website or web pages for 12 months
- 80% of website or web pages development efforts
